Transforming Supply Chains to Be More Productive, Resilient, and Sustainable
The global evolution of the economy over several decades, followed by the
spread of digitalization, has brought about expansion of business opportunities and improvements in
productivity. Along with the globalization of the economy, the supply chain has also expanded globally
and extended to all corners of the world. On the other hand, challenges such as responding quickly to
diversifying and changing customer needs and risks such as supply chain disruptions are increasing. For
this reason, since the mid-2010s, there have been vigorous discussions on building an end-to-end
next-generation digital supply chain.
The disruption of economic activity caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020 has become a
reality and has become a major driving force for the digital transformation (DX) of supply chains.
